This background paper has been prepared by GGGI for the Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) Project, under the initiative of the Government of Germany through the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The ALCBT Project is a five-year multi-stakeholder project that seeks to significantly reduce GHG emissions from the building sector through nationwide transition towards low carbon buildings in five Asian countries: Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
